Ethical clearance
Omitting proof of ethical clearance is one of the
most frequent causes of delay in the review of research proposals
submitted to TDR. If your proposed research involves human subjects[i],
it will be reviewed by the WHO Research Ethics Review Committee (WHO ERC).

Complete
the WHO ERC Checklist for PI's
and return to TDR with your grant application.
A
form must be provided with each proposal to indicate that the
research subject has decided to take part in the study of her/his
own free will. To find out more about informed decision making and informed
