Project development grants are designed
to help scientists from developing countries to formulate technically
sound, full-scale research proposals (both research capability
strengthening, and research and development (R&D) proposals). Funds may
be used for three purposes:
- to collect baseline or preparatory
data
- to initiate preliminary
research
- to seek the advice
of recognized experts in the preparation of a full-scale research
proposal.
Project development grants do not
exceed 10 000 US dollars and are not renewable.
