The task forces in
Intervention Development and Implementation Research have closed.
Work will continue under two new steering committees - Proof of
Principle, and Implementation Research - which met for the first
time in October 2001. Applications and ongoing activities from the
previous task forces (Malaria Home Management; Severe Malaria;
Research on Drug Resistance and Policies; Filariasis Intervention
Research; Intervention Research on Chagas Disease; Intervention
Research on African Trypanosomiasis; Chemotherapy of Leprosy) will
be incorporated in the new committees as appropriate.
