Note: TDR is supporting institution
development through two major new funding approaches: the Capacity
strengthening programme
grant and the RCS-Plus grant. Ongoing RCS institution grants will be
phased out after the regular funding period is completed, and those
applying will be eligible for the grant that best fits their
proposed project.
Open investigator-initiated
research projects will no longer be considered, except as re-entry
grant applications. Scientists from advanced developing countries
with independent research lines are advised to apply for the special
calls on targeted research and development initiatives, which will
be announced during the year. See RCS workplan
